Hassan El-Amin
The Common Ground board of directors has named Hassan El-Amin as Artistic Director.  Hassan is a San Diego native and nationally known actor and teacher who regards Common Ground as his theatrical home and names Dr. Floyd Gaffney as one of his most important mentors.  He first appeared with Common Ground (then Southeast Community Theatre) in 1980 in Gaffney's production of Tambourines to Glory.  Nationally, he has appeared at most of the nation's leading regional theatres including San Diego Repertory Theatre.  In addition to directing Jazz Queens Cast Blue Shadows, Hassan will provide artistic leadership as we plan our next seasons and look to the future.  We are excited about moving forward under his inspiration.
