A World Premiere Jazz Musical about Dinah Washington and Billie Holiday

Jazz divas Dinah Washington and Billie Holiday have truly influenced all jazz and pop singers who have followed them to the stage. Jazz Queens Cast Blue Shadows visits both women in performance and follows them backstage or back in time to see how they reached the top of the musical world. Both struggled against racism and sexism to reach the top of the entertainment world and both died tragically at an early age from substance abuse. But above all, we hear them both sing the glorious jazz standards they made famous – tunes such as “What A Difference A Day Makes”, “This Bitter Earth”, “God Bless The Child”, “Is You Is Or Is You Ain’t My Baby”, “My Man” and “Good Mornin' Heartache.” More
